I don’t listen to this Drake person due to the fact that I am not a big fan of rap.  I don’t have a problem with it, I just prefer other types of music.  Anyway, a buddy of mine put me on this song about 2 weeks ago, and I feel in love with it!  I am surprised that a lot of people know this song.  Anyway, enjoy “A Night Off” by Drake ft. T.I. Can’t Have Whatever He Likes

So… T.I. filed a motion to delay the starting of his little sentence in Forest City, Arkansas.  The rapper wanted to be transferred to a prison closer to Atlanta.

(LMAO as I type this) I can’t knock him for NOT wanting to be in Arkansas.  I’m from a big city, and I love UCA and all {bad news coming} ——–> but Arkansas has to be the most boring place I’ve ever been to.  Going to school in that state, makes me appreciate Memphis 16x more.  The city of Conway (my school’s location) is a huge downgrade, but the $$$ and in-state tuition they grant me is the bomb, so keep it coming!

I always tend to get off topic!  Anyway, T.I.’s reasoning for his desire to move is to upgrade his “living arrangements.”  A judge denied his request and he will be heading to the Natural State on Tuesday.  According Access Atlanta {http://www.ajc.com}:

T.I. will receive no special treatment and will be treated just like the other inmates, said Capt. R.D. Weeks, spokesman for the Forrest City prison.  T.I. will be housed with another inmate in one of 12 cubicle-style units, Weeks said. The rapper was sentenced to serve a year and a day for illegal firearms possession and being a convicted felon with a firearm.

Well, well, well!  Looks like T.I. CAN’T have “whatever he likes.” LMAO.  I would like for T.I. to know that he is going to have so many RANDOM people attempting to visit him.  He’s in Arkansas, where big stars like himself don’t come.

  You guys have no clue how much this story cracks me up.  I wonder if he’s going to be one of the inmates who “run the yard” or will have people buying him cigarettes?  Poor baby…

Well, well, well… Beyonce FINALLY came out with the video for “Ego.”  The song is a little old to me, due to the fact that I played that song countless of times when her album was released.

I’ve Officially Fallen In Love W/ Jeremih

OMG… so I found this video on youtube of Jeremih singing “Birthday Sex” acoustic style.  He can sing! Seriously.  And he’s cute! Enjoy this wonderful video because I did!

Oh… and please congratulate him for being induced to my “Boo Club.”  Some of his fellow members include LeBron, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Will (from Day 26), and Trey Songz amongst others.  I am anticipating Jeremih’s debut album, because he is extremely talented!

Nas and Kelis: Divorce Court Bound!

Awww! Don't they look happy!? LOL

I don’t want to say that I told you so, but I did!  When I found out that they were getting married back in 2005, I KNEW it wouldn’t last!  Get serious!  The couple met at an after party of MTV’s 2002 Video Music Awards and united in marriage in ‘05 in Atlanta.

Anyway, a spokesperson for Kelis confirmed that she was indeed the one who filed for divorce on April 30, citing irreconcilable differences.  Word is that Kelis suspected that Nas was being a little promiscuous! NAUGHTY!

Kelis is preggers right now, and the baby boy is due July 21.  You guys didn’t know (but now you know) that TMZ is one of my favorite sources for celebrity news, and as I was browsing, I tripped over the details of their divorce, which includes:

1. Nas and Kelis both seek joint custody of their unborn son.

2. Kelis is asking for spousal support, but Nas wants the judge to deny her request.

3. Nas wants wifey to pay her OWN lawyer fees!

Uh oh… I can sense that this may be a dirty divorce.  Didn’t Kelis have a sex tape out?  I wonder if that’s what sparked this H.A.M.

New York Works as a Nudist Resort Employee

She looks so silly in this picture. LOL

 Alrighty, on this week’s episode of New York Goes to Work, the fans “voted” for the drama queen to work at a nudist resort.  When I saw that, I knew she would fail the task, and she did!  Hell, I would have failed too! EWWW!  Anyway, her tasks included cleaning the rooms, serving drinks to the guests, and preparing events for them.  New York was so distracted by all of the naked guests that she was unable to complete her tasks properly.  At the end of the show, Tom ripped the check (which obviously meant that she wasn’t getting the money) and New York showed out!

Before I give my opinion on this episode and the show itself, let me say one thing:

VH1 is trying to CON the viewers out of money.  You are a fool if you text that number and vote for the occupation you want New York to do.  That ish was taped a couple months before it aired this month! LIARS!

Anyway this episode truly cracked me up.  She’s such a Capricorn, because she showed out in TRUE Capricorn fashion! Dramatic!  Overall, the show serves as a platter of laughs.  I guarantee that you will laugh at New York acting a fool at least 3 times before it goes off.

My cousin, Nick graduated from Ridgeway High School last night, which was the same day I graduated 2 years ago. OMG… I think I am getting old! Anyway, Congrats Nick!!!  And remember our talk we had last year about where to go and what to do! LOL

Deb the Dummy Sees Her Therapist, Irv Searches for New Talent

 

 

I am in love with this show.  I don’t know how many watched season 1, but I did! This week’s episode was mainly about Deb and her ongoing issue, and Irv searching for new talent.  Deb goes to see her therapist about her “relationship” with Irv, and realizes that she needs to set boundaries between them.  Deb wants Irv to take the kids to his house on the weekends instead of being at her house, but doesn’t have the courage to tell him.  Meanwhile, Irv goes to search for a new talent that will change the failing music industry.  He goes to see a rapper named Newz, who he likes and hopes will revive his company, Murder Inc. 

Okay… you KNOW I have to put my opinion in this… Irv makes Deb look like a complete idiot day after day after day.  She’s a pretty woman and I am sure she has men approaching her, but I don’t understand why she’s STILL trying to make things work after 7 years!  Ugh, give up! 

I know this is beside the point but what I am about to say has a lot to do with their situation.  My boyfriend and I are reading Steve Harvey’s Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man (which is good by the way) and the majority of the things he says in the book are things I already know because I indeed act like a lady, but think like a man.  Anyway, Steve mentions that a man “is filtered through his title (who he is), how he gets that title (what he does), and the reward he gets for the effort (how much he makes).  He goes on to say that if a man doesn’t have all of these completed or near completion, then he will not give his woman or their relationship 100% of his attention because “His eye will be on the prize.” 

Doesn’t that sound like Deb and Irv’s situation?  It is OH SO obvious that his attention is not on their relationship, but more on making it to the top again.  Why, you ask? It’s because his title is fading away and PROBABLY his money, and he DOES NOT know who he is.  He’s ridiculous to me, but I will admit that he is a decent father. Kudos to that, but BOO to the way he treats Deb.  She gives Irv so much power, and it pains me to watch her make herself look weak, naive, and helpless on television.

I also wanna add that his two sons are so adorable!  They’re going to be some cuties when they grow up.

 

Keri Hilson’s In a Perfect Word

Keri Hilson final debuts with In a Perfect World, which is a pretty decent album to me.  Her album cover could have been MUCH better, but that doesn’t stop her music from being on point!  My little sister (who’s 13) talked me into listening to her album, and I was EXTREMELY surprised with what I heard… I heard greatness! 

I stopped liking her after I heard her remix to “Turning Me On,” where she dissed Beyonce and Ciara.  It’s obvious that she has NO room to talk about Beyonce who has won countless of awards and sold millions of records.  Hilson called in on a radio station and talked to Ciara, telling her that she wasn’t mentioning her or Beyonce but you be the judge and read her lyrics… LIAR:
